Apple has been enjoying massive sales around the world with its iPhone through 2014, in fact the company has been enjoying huge sales for nearly a decade. However, in India the handset has been a slow mover and Cupertino only entered the market in one of the largest emerging markets recently. Through the fourth quarter the iPhone was responsible for 500,000 units in India.
That’s nothing compared to budget companies such as Samsung, Micromax, or Motorola, but it is a solid base for Apple to build on through 2015. Through the end of the fiscal year ending September recorded 1 million iPhone unit sales in India.
"Apple and its distributors have informed the trade that improvements in cash flow by cutting credit period and retailer margins will help them to invest more in consumer offers like EMI schemes.
